Dr. Martinez-Delio received her Bachelors Degree in Science, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. She earned her Medical Degree at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan. She then completed her Psychiatry residency training at University District Hospital and Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, PR.
She is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology,
and by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review for Physicians.
Dr. Martinez-Delio is a member of the Hillsborough County Medical Association, the Florida Medical
Association, of which she has served as a delegate on 2005 and has been elected delegate for the
FMA for the term 2006-2009, the Tampa Bay Psychoanalytical Society, American Board of Quality
Assurance and Utilization Review for Physicians and the National Headache Foundation.
Dr, Martinez-Delio worked in the James A Haley Veterans
Administration Hospital in Tampa, FL, and also served as associate clinical
professor for USF. She did research with education to Veterans on HIV-AIDS
with a multidisciplinary team. This research was presented in Washington DC.
She worked as an Associated Medical Director for a Utilization Review and
Quality Assurance company. Dr. Martinez-Delio opened a private
practice in Tampa, FL, in 2001.
She has background and training in Internal Medicine, Neurology and in
headache management.
Dr. Martinez-Delio has been a guest in Fox 13 news, NBC news, Univision,
Telemundo and a frequent Hispanic radio host in the past. She has published
in the HCMA bulletin. She also writes on her spare time and is writing her first
book.
Dr. Martinez-Delio is married and has 5 children
